Today the location for my pre-wedding photo-session with Nastassja and Brian is the ruins at the Sammy Marks Museum in Pretoria. Looking forward to a great photo-session in this rustic location.
Venue: Hermansdal Lodge
I met Emmah and Smanga for our pre-wedding shoot at the venue on 6 September 2013 and we had a wonderful time getting to know each other a bit better, all in preparation for their wedding day…
Wedding Date: Saturday, 19 October 2013
Venue, Decor and Food: Ansie and her team from Hermansdal Lodge
Co-ordinator: Emmah’s friend and Maid of Honour – Nuku Manenye
The scenery changed completely with the wonderful rains since our pre-wedding shoot. It was a morning wedding with lunch for the quests, so it was a busy morning as Ansie and her team from Hermansdal completed preparing the reception hall.
Then I met up with Smanga and Emmah in their preperations for their wedding. Both were clearly looking forward to the day. Emmah’s beaming smile clearly showed how happy she was about her marriage to the love of her life.
Emmah was assisted by her three bridesmaids who ensured all ran smoothly. Especially Nuku, who worked constantly behind the scenes to give her friend the best possible wedding.
The wedding ceremony and marriage took place under the African sun in the garden.
Then it was time for the lunch, the well wishes or friends and family. Of course all the interesting facts and stories about the bride and groom was shared to great amusement of everyone present.
…even friends from Chicago came specially to South Africa to celebrate with Emmah and Smanga…
It was late afternoon when I did their couple photographs with the darkening skies above.
Thank you Emmah and Smanga. I wish you many wonderful years together!
Also a special thanks to Nuku for being my liaison – it was a pleasure working with you.
Had a wonderful afternoon getting to know Theunis and Chanelle a bit better during their pre wedding photo shoot at the Pretoria Botanical Gardens.
This in preparation for their wedding taking place during December 2013 in Dullstroom. We had loads of fun as we tried out different things to reflect their individual personalities and the interaction between them.
This is but one of the photographs and the rest will follow in time.
